      Books are a tough market these days as everyone knows, especially with it being so much easier to just publish e-books. E-books aren't profitable for bookstores though, and are harder to sell thru book signings.I think all stores are different but if you can find a small local store that wants to have events that is the best way to promote your book, build a relationship (which is important so that the store will hand-sell your books) as well as gain community awareness.Hope this helps!
