But if you just use their hosting services (and not their website builder), then you can custom build your site (such as with platforms like WordPress).

We have come to accept that the ability to flip back and forth is important because in many non-fiction books we *had to*, but I see this as (for most books that aren't pure reference) a flaw that was always there, and ebooks merely surfaced this flaw. If we consider the reasons people feel compelled to flip back and forth, it almost always reflects a problem in the bookЙ like relying on the reader's memory rather than carrying the context forward so the reader doesn't HAVE to go back.

I just came across your great website, when looking for a review of Squarespace. I have been asked by a couple of people if I design sites for it, and I have only recently looked into it.

Otherwise, thanks for the thorough review. I'm still undecided as to whether to switch from WP.

My education from Treehouse has already earned me over $4K. College, on the other hand, is leaving us with huge bills, lots of theoretical knowledge we could have gotten from simply reading the books, and a major gap between theory and practice.
