Remember the time Ray Burke had trees planted for a by-election, then uprooted them when he lost? Remember the time Brian Cowen went on radio with a voice like Barry White, leading everyone to think he spent the night before on the black stuff? Politics is a strange business at the best of times, but Irish politics seems to have a special kind of strangeness about it, so much so that you often have to wonder, 'Did That Actually Happen?' With characteristic wry humour, columnist and broadcaster Paddy Duffy recounts the ridiculous but true stories that make Irish politics what it is: intriguing, amusing and completely daft as a brush. If you're looking for a book that gets to the heart of our political system and offers solutions for the future, then you're probably in the wrong section. No navel-gazing, just belly-laughing.

About Paddy Duffy

Paddy Duffy is a columnist and broadcaster from Donegal. He writes the weekly news review What Kind of Week Has It Been? for the Huffington Post and is a regular commentator on RTE Radio 1's Drivetime. He has also written for the New York-based diaspora website IrishCentral.com and the European Youth Press, and has at various times featured in the Irish Times, on the BBC, Al Jazeera and, most importantly, the Donegal News. He has also worked on TV shows such as Top Gear and University Challenge, and for nearly ten years he has been a youth worker, tutoring politics to young people as diverse as the Donegal Youth Council and doomed Political Science first years the day before an exam.

Thank you! I can't wait to read it Р the War of Art is on my regular re-read pile on the nightstand. I'm having trouble downloading the kindle/mobi version Р when I click that link it takes me to a page of jibberish, just so you know. But the PDF works, and I can't wait to dig into it. Thanks again!

so, so glad that the Eco template was here. My colleagues keep telling me that there are better options around, but I consider this theme to be one of my go-to???s. It might be eco-oriented, but it???s not limited like many people think. I???ve designed fair trade sites, construction pages and a retail website with it, too. It???s the template that you???re using people, and there???s no reason to stick to it if you???d prefer to customize or introduce your own approach to your design.

It's really hard to give you a definitive answer as to which of Squarespace or Shopify is better for you. A key difference is that Shopify has much more advanced online store tools than Squarespace. So if you want to access more advanced tools, Shopify is probably a better candidate. But it sounds to me that your store is fairly basic as you're just selling physical products. So Squarespace might be sufficient.
